TEIKEI Olive connects high-quality olive oil from Greece with a supply model based on relationships, planning, and shared responsibility.
The project does not operate through anonymous middlemen but instead relies on pre-orders, harvest shares, and direct connections between farms, communities, and members. This creates greater planning security for producers and more transparency for everyone who receives the olive oil.
A central element of TEIKEI Olive is pre-financing.
People and communities do not only participate in the finished product but already in enabling the harvest. This gives farms in Greece more security and creates more reliable conditions for cultivation, processing, and transport. At the same time, the olive oil is not merely seen as a commodity but as part of a collectively supported value chain.
TEIKEI Olive operates with a subscription or harvest share model.
This means:
The subscription is designed so that entry is possible at any time, and the delivery quantity can be adjusted. The standard term is one year.
TEIKEI Olive aims to make distribution as direct as possible.
This ensures traceability of:
This creates a supply chain in which participants remain visible, and responsibility is not outsourced invisibly.
TEIKEI Olive is not just a product project but a community structure.
Individuals can participate on their own or organize themselves into ordering communities. Existing groups such as community-supported agriculture (CSA) initiatives, food cooperatives, village shops, farm shops, or zero-waste stores can also become part of it. A particular strength of TEIKEI Olive is that ordering communities can be founded on a map, and logistics are organized directly around these communities.
Those who want to receive TEIKEI Olive have several options in everyday life.
The simplest and, in the spirit of the project, strongest way is to participate through an ordering community.
This means:
These pickup days are supervised and help organize the last mile collectively. This saves delivery costs and strengthens local relationships.
If there is no suitable community near you, you can found your own.
TEIKEI Olive is explicitly designed for people to team up with neighbors, friends, or other interested parties and establish a pickup location together. This way, you not only receive olive oil but also, in the long term, other products directly in your local context.
If pickup is not possible for you or a pickup location is too far away, you can have the olive oil delivered directly to your home.
TEIKEI Olive explicitly describes this as an option for people who cannot arrange pickup or do not want to found their own pickup location. Alternatively, delivery can also go to a delivery depot of a consumer community.
If you are not yet ready to commit to a year-long subscription, you can first try the olive oil.
TEIKEI Olive explicitly offers the option to first place a simple order to convince yourself of the quality and taste. Afterward, you can transition to a harvest share or subscription model.
The olive oil can be organized in different flavors and purchasing models.
The product page lists four flavor profiles:
At the same time, there are references to different packaging and handling methods, such as in connection with zero-waste structures, refilling, and bottling events. This is also part of the approach: not only the product itself but also its distribution can be organized in a community-oriented and material-conscious way.
After ordering, the olive oil is distributed according to the chosen structure:
For some formats, clear pickup days are organized; for others, delivery is made as a parcel. The goal is always to make the purchase as simple as possible without losing the project’s community-based logistics.
At its core, TEIKEI Olive demonstrates that high-quality agriculture and responsible supply become more sustainable when production, financing, ordering, distribution, and pickup are not separated but designed together.
This is the true functioning of the project: it not only brings olive oil to people but also organizes the relationships necessary for it.
