How can the existing producer-consumer community of TEIKEI evolve into a jointly supported cooperative?
We want to explore this question together with people from the TEIKEI network and experienced facilitators in cooperative development.
The Founding Clarification Conference is explicitly not a founding assembly.
It is a shared space for clarification where we aim to understand which tasks should be jointly supported in the future, which people are willing to take on responsibility, and whether a cooperative is indeed the right organizational form for this purpose.
Registration for the Founding Clarification Conference is mandatory.
The number of participants is limited to 100 spots. After registration, the Zoom link and reminders before the event will be sent automatically.

How does a producer-consumer community become a producer-consumer cooperative?
This question forms the starting point of the conference and the further clarification process.
The focus is not initially on drafting statutes or deciding on a final organizational structure.
At the center are the people, the tasks, and the responsibility that make future joint support possible in the first place.
Together, we particularly want to clarify:
The answers to these questions should not be predefined but emerge from the shared exchange.
The Founding Clarification Conference will be conducted as a joint workshop and professionally facilitated by Burghard Flieger from innova eG. His many years of experience in cooperative development will directly inform the shared clarification process.
TEIKEI has grown over many years from relationships between producers, pickup communities, processing businesses, logistics partners, and committed individuals.
With this development, the question increasingly arises of how the resulting tasks and relationships can be jointly supported in the long term.
The clarification process so far has made clear:
A cooperative does not emerge first through statutes or a finished concept. It emerges where people are willing to take joint responsibility.
The conference is therefore intended to make visible whether there is sufficient support within the TEIKEI community for this path and whether a group of people can form who are ready to jointly carry the further clarification and possible founding process.
The conference forms the starting point for the possible further founding process.
If enough people from the community express interest in continuing this path together, TEIKEI or the possible cooperative founding can be further supported as a pilot project within KlimaCoops.
Burghard Flieger and the involved partners offer a subsequent support process of about 10 to 12 hours for this.
The people who want to actively participate in the further process after the conference will be connected with each other and with this support. From this, an initiative group can form that jointly works on the next steps.
Only in this subsequent process will it be about further concretizing the tasks of the future support structure, clarifying roles and responsibilities, and on this basis developing the economic, organizational, and legal foundations of a possible cooperative.
The conference is thus intentionally a clarification:
If enough people want to jointly pursue this path, the supported founding process begins from there.

The conference will primarily be held in German.
For English-speaking participants, support through English subtitles is planned. Contributions and responses in English are explicitly welcome.
This allows English-speaking producers and other people from the European TEIKEI network to directly participate in the exchange.
The Founding Clarification Conference is organized by TEIKEI together with innova eG as part of the project "Strengthening the Social Solidarity Economy – through Networking and Transfer" by the Association for Cooperative Economics – Social Solidarity Economy Germany e.V.
This places the event within a broader context of cooperative and network development.
If there is sufficient interest from the TEIKEI community, there is the possibility to have the subsequent cooperative process further supported as a pilot project within KlimaCoops.
The Founding Clarification Conference is part of the ongoing clarification process for the future joint support of TEIKEI.
Among other things, this was initiated by the conversation between Helmut Geißler, Burghard Flieger, and Felix Schröder on August 5, 2026.
After the conference, the results and next steps will be documented on this page.
The focus will be particularly on how much support there is for joint continuation, who wants to participate in the further process, and whether a viable initiative group can emerge from this.
If there is sufficient interest, the supported clarification and possible founding process with Burghard Flieger and the involved partners will follow.
Thus, the conference is not seen as an isolated event but as a shared starting point for the possible path from the existing producer-consumer community toward a jointly supported cooperative.
