The responsibility flow describes who is accountable for what and how responsibility is passed on at transitions.
The Agora Marketplace is the frontend. In terms of responsibility flow, this means: it makes visible who stands behind an offering at which level. How responsibility is distributed across Agora as a whole is described on the page Responsibility Flow in Agora.
Current state (Agora 2.0, as of October 2026): This page describes the current status. What is planned for Agora 3.0 is marked as "Future state" or shown with dashed lines. Since October 13, 2026, this page consolidates previous pages on the same flow; the most important diagrams of all four flows are on the page Agora Marketplace.
For every offering in the Agora Marketplace, the following should be clear:
Who stands behind the offering?
How is onboarding structured?
What form of basic cost contribution or harvest share is required?
Where is the offering available?
Through which community or pickup location is it distributed?
These questions come from the Cooperation and Offering Structure. What is important here: the marketplace must not come between the farm and the member. It should strengthen the relationship, not obscure it.
the community: its offering and local distribution
local: individual farm
the farm: its offering, onboarding, and relationship with its members
regional: farm collective
the farm collective: the joint offering. If goods pass through regional bundling, it handles distribution
regional: regional bundling
the regional bundling and regional structure: select offerings, coordinate farms, plan routes, support communities
national: Country
the national structure: operational processing, payments, legal and tax framework, delivery structure within the country
Europe-regional
still open. In the target country, the national structure handles the actual supply
outside Europe
under consideration, not yet elaborated
Above all levels, Agora is responsible for the shared infrastructure: system logic, standards, knowledge, training, contact point, coordination, and verified functions. More on this on the page Levels of the Agora Marketplace.
The Agora Marketplace makes visible who stands behind an offering at which level: the community, the farm, the farm collective, the regional bundling, or the national structure. Agora is responsible for the shared infrastructure. Responsibility lies where supply happens.
The responsibility flow describes who in Agora is accountable for what and how responsibility is passed on at transitions.
It revolves around a simple question:
Who bears responsibility at which point, and who remains available for contact?
Agora is the whole: the shared space with which the Europe-regional food system is coordinated. It can also be used for products that are not grown in Europe, such as coffee and cocoa.
Lightwave operates the Andromeda framework and develops Agora. Lightwave does not operate the supply itself.
Andromeda is the technical foundation with interfaces and an app store.
Agora is the app for the food system. It provides modules for all system participants, along with standards, knowledge, training, contact points, and coordination.
The Agora Marketplace is the interface. It makes ordering, payment, and status visible.
The national or regional structure is responsible for operational processing and the actual supply.
All system participants are responsible for their part: breeders, farms, logistics, pickup locations, and recipients along the food supply chain, as well as shops, kitchens, providers, support structures, Council of Synergies, and partners.
